Crappy Engagement Balloons

At the time my boyfriend proposed to me, we were 175 miles away from each other. We rarely see each other because someone has to travel far before we can spend time together.
After I went to his town in one weekend, when I went home I find it odd when I received a mail from him, a letter saying, “ You are my everything.” The next day, I received another mail with flowers with love notes in it. For several days, I always received several letters and notes and some flowers from him. I thought he just wanted to make me feel loved.
Until one day when we finally saw each other, we went out to check on the new restaurant in our town, you see, it’s his turn to visit me at that time. As we were having dinner, he suddenly takes out a ring box which leads me to think that he is going to propose to me. He gave the box to me, opened it and much to my surprise, it wasn’t the engagement ring that I am expecting but a red balloon. I pulled on the red balloon, to appreciate it anyway. But suddenly, the balloon popped out and made the princess cut solitaire engagement ring came into vision. I stared at the ring for once and to my surprise, I just saw him kneeling in front of me, asking me to marry him.
