Red roses
It was a cloudy Saturday morning when my friends and I decided to have a DVD marathon at my boyfriend’s apartment. We gathered as many DVD’s as we could so that we won’t run out of movies to watch. We also ordered Chinese food for lunch and pizza for snack. Andy (my boyfriend) decided to just leave the apartment to do his errands for that day. Little did I know, he was actually preparing for his proposal in my apartment since he has the key.
Around five o’clock in the afternoon that day, my best friend Lisa told me that she forgot her phone in my apartment, and that if I could drive her there. Thinking that we just need to drive by, I went along. As we were approaching the door to my apartment, I noticed some red rose’s petals on the floor.
I opened the door, and my apartment was filled with roses. It was clean though, and was full of candles too. I rushed to my room, and saw that my door was open. I could smell the aroma of fresh flowers as I entered the room. Andy was sitting there near my laptop. He held a dozen of roses and handed them all to me saying: “This symbolizes how much I love you and I will always do. Open the little red box, Tina.” And so I did. Inside was a 1.4 carat Princess Cut diamond three stone engagement ring. There were tears of joy as I said YES to Andy. We both did not know that some of our friends sneaked in to witness the proposal.
