Breakfast with eggs and a ring!

My girlfriend Charlene loves making breakfast for me which by the way is a great idea to propose to her at the beginning of the day. We’ve been living together in a 2 bedroom apartment in downtown Los Angeles, and has been together for 3 ½ years.

So when I already bought the ring that I found a week before my planned proposal, I knew that a simple question of “WILL YOU MARRY ME” would both make our rest of the day amazing.
The night before as she was sleeping, I figured to put the small ring box inside the egg carton. I prepared my speech for the next day so that when I get up, I won’t stutter and will remember what the ring was for. She usually gets up very early, so I knew that I need to get up before she does.

The next day, I woke up around six o’clock in the morning and found that Charlene was still asleep. I sneaked in the kitchen, check on the ring, and found out that it was cold so I placed the carton of eggs outside so that it won’t be that cold when I slip it on her hand. I sneaked back to bed, and hugged her tight as if I just moved from one side of the bed.
She was woken up by my warm embrace, and so she kissed me on my forehead. She placed my arm on the pillow as she stood up to prepare breakfast for me. When she left the room, I tiptoed towards the door, heard her yawn and then grabbed the frying pan. I slowly opened the door and saw her opening the carton of eggs. It was just the right timing when she saw the small ring box and opened it. Inside was a 14K White Gold Princess Setting with Baguette Side Stones Engagement ring. I knelt down on one knee and asked her “Will you marry Charley?” she was shocked and could not believe what she heard. But as what I have said, my proposal was just perfect, as it made my day complete with her YES.
