An airport proposal
My girlfriend and I love traveling. For our 5th anniversary, we both decided to fly to New York to meet up with some of her long lost friends. We also wanted to pay visit to her parents who lives in Manhattan. She was so excited in going back to New York where she was born and raised in Brooklyn. But before anything else happen, I knew that this time is the best opportunity to propose to Ranna. Her parents knew about my proposal, so they told me that they would love to help. Her father volunteered to pick us up in the airport. We talked on the phone for an hour to plan my proposal; I thought that if they would be a part of it, my proposal would be great! And they agreed. They will be holding up signs spelling out “WILL” and “YOU” and I will be holding the small paper with this message: “MARRY ME” plus the 14 K White Gold Cathedral Setting with Diamond Accent Engagement ring .
On the day itself, I made sure that everything is all set. The tickets, our bags, and of course, last but not the least, her wedding ring. Before boarding the plane, I made a phone call to Ranna’s parents and made sure the plan was clear. Finally, we arrived in the destination, JFK airport. I can not wait to see her reaction once she sees her parents holding up these sign boards. As we exit our airport gate, we spotted her parents rising up the signs (which looked a little funny). She was a bit confused as to what it meant. “Oh my God, why are they holding up those strange signs??” she said as we walk on.
“Maybe it meant something, Sweetie” I told her while holding her hand. I slipped a note on her hand with the words: “MARRY ME” on it. I knelt down in front of her parents and people around us and said “I love you from the day I met you, and now that we’ve gone this far, I would like to ask you to be my wife”. Stunned as she is, she said YES. We all celebrated the proposal by having dinner at a fine restaurant in Manhattan.
