Clarity and Savings

When purchasing diamond for your partner you want to probably save some money.

It is not a must that you decide purchasing the best clarity grade diamond like Flawless or Internally Flawless.

These could be very expensive and if you decide for a lower grade, many times you will not spot the difference in clarity at all and you will save several hundreds dollars or even more.

The grade that is written on a diamond certificate is the grade that is set by a least 3 different diamond experts under 10X magnification in a diamond lab.

You can purchase a diamond in the third diamond clarity scale called Very Slightly Imperfect (VVS1 or VVS2). The internal flaws are still so rare and small that they are extremely hard to be seen even under 10X magnification.

The VVS1, VVS2 and even VS1 and VS2 are so called “eyes clean clarity grades”. A human eye will not spot any inclusions with naked eye.

Sometimes even a diamond setting can greatly affect the inclusions in the stone. With the correct settings these inclusions can become hidden.

Sometimes it is also important where the inclusions are located in the diamond structure, If they are in the bottom o a diamond, the jeweler expert can simply hide these flaws by choosing the correct diamond setting.

But if you still decide to buy a step cut diamond for example, where the flaws could be more apparent, than you should purchase a diamond with at least VS2 diamond grade or higher.
